5-BED HIPSTER DORM
Funky designed mixed no-bunk-beds-dorm. Ideal for those who like to share but are still hostel-style accommodation beginners. The bathroom is shared. Linen, air conditioning and free WIFI are included, and your bed will be freshly made upon arrival.
7-bed LADIeS-ONLY DORM
No boys allowed. Think secret pink heaven with barbie doll bed numbers, antique white beds (no bunk beds!) and curtains that separate each bed to make you feel like a true princess. The bathroom and canal views from the window are shared. There is a fluffy pink dressing gown for each bed (with ears!) and this room comes with free nail polish, sanitary products, glossy magazines, a hairdryer and straighteners.
8-bed BACKPACKERS dorm
Funky designed mixed no-bunk-beds-dorm: lots of space, a huge comfy bed with your own power outlet and reading light. The bathroom and canal views from the window are shared. Linen and free WIFI included, and your bed will be freshly made upon arrival.
12-bed El cheapo dorm
For the traveller on a super tight budget who doesn’t mind having the lockers, bed lights and mirror painted onto the walls rather than actually available. The beds are extremely comfy but no real eye-pleaser – think military style iron frames. The bathroom, power sockets and canal views from the window are shared. Linen, soap and free WIFI are included, and your bed will be freshly made upon arrival.

AMENITIES
All dorms offer multiple power outlets and large luggage lockers, which can be locked with a padlock to stow away your valuables. Padlocks can be purchased at reception.
Linen and soap are always included.
Towels are included in our double rooms, and for rent or purchase in our cabins and dorms.

Our reception desk is made of them (vintage books; re-using vintage materials is part of our creative conscious way of living) and our coffee table is stacked with international reads. Hang out on one of our sofas, take a seat and get some work done at our communal table (yes, free WiFi everywhere) or use our swings for your daily exercise routines.
If you're into music, you'll definitely appreciate our vinyl collection.
TEEPEE TENT
MOVIES
We love them. From old-time classics to sci-fi and rom-coms. MAMA makes pop-corn and our teepee tent turns into a movie-home-base a couple of nights a week. During the rest of the day, it's up to you what you make of it. The teepee doors are wide open. We love some creativity.
KITCHEN/THE FIX
FAMILY STYLE DINNER
Foodie, on a budget, casual night in? Get behind the stove in MAMA's open kitchen (or for the less experienced chefs amongst us: use the microwave). There's a leftover shelf, and for those who prefer to socialise while cooking, we host a family-style dinner twice a week.
There's THE FIX too – our store-front café, croissanterie, office (yeah to remote working), cocktail bar, city refuge, reading room, tanning salon (yeees, there is a terrace). You get it. It's whatever you want it to be. Oh and the best part: serving Beans, Bowls, Bagels & Booze.

At Mamas we don’t do ‘brand new’, not only is this way of doing things better for the environment, but it looks cool too - well at least we think so. Our reception desk is made of vintage books and upcycled materials and the hostel is full of pre-loved furniture and bric-a-brac. Plus, we have natural stone heating, water-efficient toilets and showers, double glazed windows, a grass roof for eco isolation and an environmentally friendly water system and waste recycling - cool right?!

We have quite some stuff going on. MAMA makes sure you get an experience that is both local and unique. You're able to just hang out, relax, connect with other travellers and have a great time. We might go out to an organic beer brewery or take you on one of our personalized Red Light district tours or during summer. Don’t forget to put on your sunglasses!
The idea is simple. We want you to be able to connect with MAMA's residents, experience the city like an Amsterdammer and share the beauty of it all with your fellow travellers.
